Alexandre Favier is more than ever conscious to be a protector of our exceptional vineyard by succeeding to several generation of respectful winemakers.

After several years of careful daily observation, culture and understanding of his rich and varied centenarian vineyard, Alexandre is now going forward with strong convictions to masterfully run each of the 45 parcels Chante Cigale’s wines are issued from.

Label Notes:

This warm and spicy red wine is the result of a happy mariage between traditionnal methods, modern winemaking knowledge and an unique terroir. This wine can be enjoyed young for its warm red fruit and spice, liquorice richness and elegance to finish. Highly suitable for ageing, this wine will develop the aromatic depth and greater complexity that give this Châteauneuf-du-pape its reputation.

Aging:

Syrah and Mourvedre aged 12 months in barrels ( 10 % new ) and one part of grenache ( 10 % ) aged 12 months in big cask. The rest aged in concrete tank. After 12 months we blended the wines form barrels and wines from concrete tanks. We aged again 6 months in concrete tank before to bottling.
